As new administrators, I think it is vital to build networks with other administrators and the Mentor Coaching idea would be a great opportunity to learn from an experienced administrator but also be able to share what you know so that learning becomes a two sided transaction of experience and knowledge. The professional learning offered through OPC would be a great opportunity to say the least.

The Aspiring School Leaders' Program sounds like a great opportunity for any administrator who is new the profession. The course is geared to support administrators in key areas of development and competencies.

This collaborative project model  was put in place to foster professional growth of school administrators in Alberta. There is a great deal of valuable information that would be handy to future administrators. the PDF provides many suggestions that can be implemented and allow for a smoother transition from teaching to being an administrator.
